NEW DELHI, Dec. 13 -- Move over Facebook campaigns inspired by the anti-corruption movement launched by activist Anna Hazare. Now, there is an annual college fest based on the theme. Titled 'Amaze'11 with SACK' (Students Against Corruption and and Kickbacks), the annual fest of Indian Institute of Planning Management will host an array of cultural and literary events based on the issue.
As part of the fest, the college has organised a massive slogan writing competition in more than 1,000 colleges across the country. "The basic theme of the competition is 'Activation'. We want students from all over the country to pen down their thoughts on the issue in the form of slogans," says Pallavi Rajoria, member of the organising committee of the fest.
Apart from this, there will also be a debate competition on the various aspects of the Jan Lok Pal Bill. The fest will also host cultural events such as fashion show, choreography and IIPM Star (solo singing) competitions. "The fest will be all about promoting anti-corruption sentiments," Rajoria says.
