MUMBAI, Feb. 24 -- It has been in the news for a long time, but now, we can confirm that Anil Kapoor is all set to kick off the shooting of his TV show, 24 - a remake of the hit US series of the same name, in which he plays Kiefer Sutherland's role - on Monday.
And although everyone involved with the venture remains tight-lipped, we hear that Anil threw a party for the entire cast and crew a couple of days ago.
"The idea behind the bash was to bond. He wanted everyone to get to know each other and get comfortable in each other's presence before the shoot kicks off. The party went on till the wee hours and Anil played the perfect host by making sure that everyone was comfortable," says an insider close to the actor.
"I am feeling the same energy and passion that I felt when I did Woh Saat Din and Mr India. It feels like I'm starting my career all over again," says an excited Anil. The actor, who has always been looked upon as an evergreen star, plans to bring the same level of efficiency into the Indian version of 24 as the original.
"He will be giving the maximum amount of his time for 24," adds the insider. The series will be helmed by Delhi Belly (2011) director Abhinay Deo. Interestingly, the average age of the cast and crew also happens to be 24. "Since it's a young and aggressive team, Anil sir is really looking forward to working with them. He is also excited about it since 2013 has started on a pleasant note with him getting his first R100 crore film, Race 2," adds the insider.
